We did look at the Kuga and you did have to move the rear seats to have as much boot space as say a Tucson ( but this impacts ability for rear seat passengers) also the PHEV model is £7.5k ap against £4.6 for the tucson

the 5008 when in 5 seat mode is over 900 litre capacity – ( it’s not on the scheme just now and we ruled out extending our current lease due to electrical gremlins it’s had since new and they can’t seem to fix) it’s a shame cars like a sorento,  Santa Fe, superb or Octavia estate aren’t available as these can cost less rrp than the Enyaq we ended up ordering.

Boot litre capacity doesn’t tell the full story either a lot depends on shape, height depth etc as to how useful the boot space is

ie the Ioniq is 520 litres and a wheelchair fits with back seats moved/tilted  forward – but my wheelchair was then taller than the  rear seats which obstructed the rear view

this Enyaq suv boot is a good height for me which at 585 litres is actually less than some tucsons

you do seem to need a large suv/ 7 seater to offer the same practicality as an medium/large estate car.
