So there is a chance the i4 will be back next quarter or final quarter of the year?
April 5, 2024 at 3:41 pm #271678It’s definitely confirmed for July production. I am sure they will put it back on hence why its been taken off due to the facelift coming out.

Just remember there is zero guarantee it will come back o the scheme
April 6, 2024 at 12:00 pm #271764I would place no confidence of it coming back on the scheme any time soon.
Cars sometimes dissappear for years or never return even manufacturers dissappear it would be like holding out for a Mercedes.
If it does come back on eventually I would be extremely surprised if it’s within the next year.
April 8, 2024 at 12:32 am #271938You are correct that the i4 will be facelifted but it’s barely a facelift, it’ll pretty much be an upgrade on the new headlights which isn’t much of an upgrade, the current laser lights are way better and the rear laser tail lights, the interior is slightly updated but not dramatically, it’s still the same curved screen, same HK and layout, just an updated steering wheel and air vents.
But just because it’s being updated and available to retail customers doesn’t mean it will be offered on the scheme again, like everyone is saying nothing is guranteed and the only reason why the i4 was on the scheme is to roll out as many production for the current model and raise sales numbers. Dealers were shocked it was even on the scheme but you can take your chances I would personally be very surprised if it does come on, also the 3 series is most likely to stay as a replacement to it.
I was waiting on Mercedes to come back since 2021 and kept asking when it will return and 3 years later they have no indication to return, take that into consideration.

Android Automotive with Google upfront, similar to that seen by other manufacturers inc Reno.
April 8, 2024 at 12:33 pm #272144Over the weekend, I visited the BMW Dealership to take a look at the BMW 330E M Sport and IX1. During my visit, I was informed that the I4 model would not be returning to the scheme due to back orders and the high cost associated with the new facelift.

As others have said, you would be foolish to cancel. If the car doesn’t return to the scheme (which is quite possible) then you will have lost your i4 with no hope of getting another. Dealers can only guess what may happen in the future, they don’t know for certain until it happens – same as us. Also, even if BMW plan to return it to the scheme, Motability Operations might not be able to agree a price with BMW at the time and, as a result, it might not return.
Keep in mind that what shows on your Motability account is not the actual order. It’s just confirmation that Motability have authorised the dealer to order that car. This must remain in place for you to get your car. The actual order is between the dealer and BMW HQ and is completely separate. If you want to ensure that you get the facelift version of the i4, your dealer should be able to achieve this for you, providing that a firm production date for the facelifted model has been confirmed.
