Two weeks ago I ordered a Volvo XC40 B3 Plus at a Volvo dealer through Motability, I also wanted some extras on the car which I had to pay on my own £600. Today I checked the dealer page to find that the car I had ordered has been upgraded by the manufacturer to include all but one of these upgrades.
I called the dealership to confirm that my car would be supplied with the upgrades and I didn’t have to pay.
The answer was a resounding NO, they expected me to pick the vehicle up and pay extra for what is now standard while the guy behind could have got it all for nothing.
I had to cancel the order and make a new one which means I will have some money left over from my Motability Advanced Payment instead of owing them.
I did complain to Volvo about this but they couldn’t even find my order.so please keep an eye on your dealer website for unannounced upgrades to vehicles after your order. The dealership will not inform you.
