Theoboy am I right in saying that your sister ordered either earlier on in the year? or the beginning of this quarter where it was listed for 3 days? (1st Oct -4th) When I ordered my golf the GTD was not on the system to be able to order through VW for Motability, it does show online as a stock car available.
However Motability have taken it off the scheme so you could possibly order one just not with Motability currently.
I also believe that Golf orders now are likely to be the MY24 facelift. I haven’t had this confirmed yet but with a 7 month waiting time for a factory build and car info websites saying the MY24 Facelift (Golf 8.5) will be introduced in the 1st Quarter 2024 (meaning they will likely be in showrooms) and that they have now stopped manufacturing MY23? Obviously I don’t know the truth to this only time will tell.
But for the GTD I believe that’s gone for now on Motability, it may make a re-appearance in January in Q1, but if the facelifts are being introduced then I very much doubt it because of the cost of the car. (as you may know us motability customers get the last of the models because the newer models are more expensive, i’ve been told this by a few different manufacturer showrooms)
They asked me if I wanted a black R-line with extras which I didn’t need and I don’t do black cars either ( swirl marks it leaves after its first clean are too visible) so I refused I don’t need any extras, so it was that or a 5-7 month delivery wait, however if it is the facelift; the spec is apparently higher than the current model? so who knows.
Maybe hold out until Q1 (risking AP price increases) to see if it goes back on.
