Yes. You are in exactly the same situation as us. We only need one car now as my wife can no longer drive due to her disability. I therefore use the car on my own as well as when my wife is with me. The rules about “for the benefit of the disabled person” are more about preventing abuse of the scheme (for example with relatives who live elsewhere but keep the Motability car and use it as their main car), not to curtail the normal activities of a couple who live together.
