My experience of Arnold Clark Hyundai this time was entirely different. I was asked to them DVLA proof of licence and any endorsements, handed the keys and asked to return in 45 minutes. Makes such a difference when you can relax and try similar routes that you normally drive in.
I’ve spoken to Motability about this on more than one occasion during 20 odd years of using the scheme but they say that it’s up to individual dealers on test drive time and whether they are accompanied or not.
