@Oscarmax I wouldn’t rule out the Tucson PHEV immediately. I know the ICE/MHEV Tucson and Sportage are terribly thirsty, but the HEVs seem quite good for the size of vehicle.
Firstly consider how often you think you’d deplete the PHEV battery and more importantly, wouldn’t the PHEV “become” a HEV when it’s battery is depleted? Obviously the PHEV battery is heavier than HEV battery, but I’d think the mpg would still be much better than an ICE/MHEV.
Having said that, even if it was quite good mpg, you have a very high AP for the PHEV, so either way, it’s going to be costly over the 3-5 years.
