Thanks DJP. I spoke to Kia about six weeks ago and they intimated that they kind of knew about problem but no updates. I also read somewhere that is what setting emissions over the threshold for cars in the UK and they were pulled up about it (do not know if there is any truth in that however)

The reason I ask is that first one is free on mobility and then a cost of £130 thereafter. I said at no time in the future would I ever pay it as there was no mention either by salesman at sale about low milage drivers and after reading the manual cover to cover there is no mention either about low mileage drivers. The only thing them manual tells you to do is a forced regeneration if it happens.

I am sure there would be a good case in law here to refuse payment.

In fact mobility should not even be paying for the first regen as this is a Kia/Hyundai problem.

    Will keep you updated also.
