The price reduction will mostly help company car drivers, as the tax that they pay is based upon the retail price. Private buyers were able to negotiate discounts of around £5k prior to these reductions, and lease companies even more. Presumably this will stop now, but who knows. Either way, it’s unlikely that the cost to leasing companies (such as Motability) would suddenly drop by £7k. However, Tesla aren’t shifting the numbers of cars that they (and the markets) hoped for, so anything is possible.
Not related to the scheme, but Tesla customers who had recently purchased one, are protesting and demanding compensation. Musk on the other hand is having none of it. If I remember Tesla prices have dropped just over 16% in Europe and around 14& in the US market.
