And most of time speeding rarely gets you much further up road. Always something that slows you down and the slower car catches up a bit.
Very true struth!
It really depends on how you define it and what the differential’s are. Most cars are going slower than the actual speed it say you doing on the speedo, So if your travelling at 70mph your not doing 70mph, hence why i set the adaptive cruise at 78 even past speed camera’s, not once have i ever got a fine and my sat nav says my speed is lower baised on the gps or the boards at the side of the road, saying thank you in green. When i do 33/34mph they say 29 or 30 mph depends on the car. So i would hardly call that speeding.
lets say you do 60 & i do 70 over a 4 hour journey, that’s 40 mins longer it take’s you than me to do that distance and I bet if i pulled over into services halfway had a coffee and a leak, I’d pass you again pretty soon or not see you at all. That just the way i see it and is my choice as it is your’s to do only 60.
But yep i do agree on certain roads and around town etc you will come to a red light or the next slow moving car under the speed limit, So on those occasions i don’t bother overtaking and i certainly don’t speed about in town or where it would be unsafe to do so, like in heavy traffic. I’d say 99% of the time I drive at or under the speed limit.
