Adding bank details

      Has anyone else had trouble adding their bank details to their notability account? I have a Barclays account and am unable to add my details as it says the account cannot be verified. Barclays says there is no problem at their end?

        HI Sandra

        Going back a year or so there was a lot of us having problems getting our bank account details to register but I can’t for the life of me remember what the fix was.

        I will try to find that thread but not holding out for much hope of finding it but I’m sure someone will come along to tell you what the fix was or you could give MB a ring tomorrow.

          Strange added mine (Barclays) at beginning of the year and had no problems.

          Give MB a ring tomorrow.

            Hi Sandra,

            Had the same problem a while back, in the end I found out that if your bank account has been held before 1998 and longer it will not work.

            Also it must be a current and not a savings account.

              I’ve had problems with adding bank details too Sandra,  apparently because it’s a old bank account & the bank details are dated blah blah, lost interest in trying tbh..

              Never had problems anywhere else ever though..

                Hi

                This has been an ongoing joke! I have two current bank accounts, one old and one new. Every few months I input there details and every time they are not accepted. Why, who knows.

                From my point of view that part of there website is not fit for purpose.

                I would note that when you enter your account details and then click “enter” the rejection is instant, worryingly to fast for any bank checks!

                      Hi have you tried a different browser i have had some problems with google chrome, and tried edge or ever Duck to go when i had problems logging in to capital-one and the same with my Barclays account which is weird. I had no trouble with my Motability account though.

                        Sorry to ressurect an old thread, but did anyone find solution to this problem? I’m having similar issue with my Lloyds current account which I’ve held for over 30 years.

                          As tinytim says, if you haven’t already done so try a different browser. I always have issues with the Google browser on my iPhone not letting me enter details on webpages, when I then try it with safari it works okay.

                            If you have a bog standard current account, with a normal Debit card it should work.

                            However, if you have one of the newer accounts, especially if transactions have to be cleared by a third party, or your bank only issues a cash card, then it is unlikely to work.

                            There are now very many of these newer type of accounts, which are especially attractive to younger people but Motabiliy has not yet caught up .

                            Someone at Motability needs to take ownership of this problem and get it sorted!
