I’m looking for simple advice please about bidirectional charging. Is it the EV or the EV charger that is able to do the bidirectional charging? I’m looking into installing solar panels and if the EV gets fully charged during the day will I be able to get power from the fully charged car batteries to flow back into the house at night? This sounds a better option than selling to the grid (could I potentially have no electric bills at all?). However for electricity to flow both ways do you need both a bidirectional EV charger and a EV that does bidirectional cvharging or just one or the other? If this is possible I wouldn’t need an expensive seperate solar power battery storage system for power at night. Any thoughts or have I totally misunderstood bidirectional charging?
