I actually got frustrated with a number of people that I knew personally who would regularly parrot the “350 million a week for the NHS” lies to anyone who would listen to them. Dominic Cummings actually admitted some time ago that they knew it was wildly untrue, but it was a hugely successful “marketing tool”. I believe that the catalogue of falsehoods did sway enough voters to create a small majority for the “leave’ vote.
