    If motability didn’t do stupid deals for things like Range Rover sports with an AP that just said “POA” (so outrageous that we can’t even bring ourselves to put a number on it) then it might not have come under so much fire and we might have still been benefitting from a greater choice today (assuming there wasn’t a global chip shortage)

     

    In the Q3 2007 Quarterly Price guide, the Range Rover Sport Auto had an AP of £12,103 (or £11,310 on WPMS):

    They used to publish all the AP’s back then rather than ‘POA’ them. That was of course, before the Daily Mail got wind and Motability got the jitters!

    Over 3000 cars on the scheme back then as well according to this particular price guide.
