I’ve said before how much I used to love going to the Farnborough Air Show. I miss seeing the historic aircraft coming and going – the flight paths are Arrivals to the east of us and Departures to the west. It’s all about flogging fighter jets and commercial airliners now. 🙁
In other news . . .
DH and I need to get out and measure the new front ‘bank’ for turf this weekend – it’s not quite a ‘wedge’ shape so math will be required! At the moment he’s trying to fix the buzzing on his new guitar (a butterscotch Telecaster, if anyone’s interested). He had to return the last two (Chapmen ML 1 standards in ‘sarcen stome black’ – beautiful) due to electrical faults, and will not be a happy bunny if he has to return the tele’ as well!
I’m hoping to go and see mater on Monday. We spoke on the ‘phone yesterday and she sounds much better, though understandably still a bit wobbly on her pins. She’ll be 90 at the end of the month and younger brother et famile will descend for the day, so she’ll get to see the all her grand-children for the first time in two years!
