Many new models of car are appearing without front fog lights, arguably because LED headlights make them unnecessary.  Is this a good thing? Do you have front fogs? Do you ever use them?

I only use my fogs two or three times a year if that simply because I’m rarely out these days early morning when fog is likely to come down.

Most fog lights are used as cornering lights, they will come on and light up the kerb or corner as you turn into it.

That is correct Belfast4 so looking at it from that point of view I use my fog lights every time I go out in the car. ?

At first glance it looks as though though the Peugeot 3008 had got rid of front fog lights, but it has now incorporated them into the main headlamp cluster. Not sure if other manufacturers are also adopting this system.

Details of new Mini hatch says fogs dispensed with as they are “incorporated” into main headlight structure. Use them myself whenever the misty stuff occurs but also in heavy rain – doesn’t improve my view but does help others to see me. Don’t know whether these incorporated ones will do the same. Always thought they should be mounted well underneath the main beams with a wide, shallow beam spread to aid visibility?
