Last test drive we had, we borrowed the car for a weekend. We used quite a lot and I felt obliged to put petrol in it, so it went back with more than when we picked it up. I think it’s reasonable to pay for what you use but no-one ever commented . It’s often the case that you are test driving a car normally being used by a salesman so it’s pot luck how full it may be.
