Very good to see the MG5 Electric Estate car available from just £699 straight onto Motability at launch, this is definitely a move in the right direction. Practically though unless I accept only being able to take my power chair with me, not my all-terrain mobility scooter, I won’t be switching to an electric vehicle until I have to, or until an MPV with a decent range comes out. Photo of my Seat Alhambra with hoist for loading my TGA Supersport in (adapted seat back already stowed).

Also it’s understandable, as they’ve stopped making the diesel, that even the Alhambra sister car, the VW Sharan, is now only available in the petrol version, though with a low APR the balance, on what the diesel cost, buys a lot of petrol.

Really glad to see the MG5 on at a reasonable deposit, also the MG ZS EV Exclusive has dropped from £999 to £299 (or £0 for the Excite model) ?

The Hyundai Kona is the one I’d want but it’s too expensive for me ?

The 64kW Kona is too pricey at the moment but we’ve seen this before with other cars, they arrive on the scheme at an inflated AP & then a couple of quarters later they have a sensible AP. £4,449 for that Kona isn’t something I’d recommend anyone paying whilst the eSoul is on the scheme as they’re essentially the same car with different bodyshell. However, now the 64kW Kona is on the scheme, how long before the eNiro arrives?

A notable loss of electric cars is the BMW i3, they’ve gone, pushed out by their i3s siblings, so the i3s is the option for those who want to leave other BMWs at the lights, it’s the car that made me chuckle the most at test drive but harsh on our potholed roads.

Gothitjulie, u got in at a good time with your Peugeot as all the EV Peugeot has had a large increase in APs.

I really want to test drive the BMW i3s, lightening quick but range is lower than other makes.  That’s the compromise.
