I extended my lease on my XC60 for an additional year back in December, but the Peugeot Motability dealer told me he reckoned I’d be able to terminate it early if I had found a car I wanted. Is he right?

Yes, all lease extensions are flexible, I.e. you can end them when you want to and replace the car so long as you have at least 6 months of your pip award left

Yes, you can change cars at any time during the extension… only thing you lose is a years worth of GCB which I think is about £150… you need to keep it for the full year to get that ?

Macca, I’m still on DLA with the indefinite award so that shouldn’t be an issue. And since I’ve had the car for three years I should still get the £600 GCB I’d think?

chris , yes you will get at least the £600 and it will increase with each year you complete.

I take it you are looking at a Peugeot as a replacement for your present car, if so can I inquire which one would you go for in that brand, or do you have others in mind?
