……as soon as they’ve got the latest one on the driveway!
Lol. I can’t be the only one ? October ’22 will be the next one but I’m already mulling upcoming models over, more often than not EV’s now because the 200+ range models seem to be really coming on stream now, either already or due to make an appearance 20/21.
VW ID range has certainly caught the eye.

FootlooseHi all
im due to select a new vehicle in June and so far I’m torn between Tiguan r line,Audi A4,Mini Cooper s sport 5 door and Mini Countryman cooper s sport?(all autos)any advice or suggestions would be appreciated???
January 30, 2020 at 9:04 pm #104654ive just ordered the mini countryman cooper s auto exclusive with comf/nav pack in brg with grey sat leather, white roof. mini chesterfield give £500 off ap. should be here mid march.
next i liked the vw id concept they did a beetlesque beach buggy thing if that made it into production lol.but i dont think we have the weather.

FootlooseHi Mitch
did you add any extras however I know there is quite a lot of standard spec and I believe comfort and nav pack is included?
January 30, 2020 at 9:57 pm #104656
geohfcnot due till september and im hoping stratstone mini still have the usuall deal on as ive came to love this countryman. i know the local mini dealer wont entertain any deal so a drive to newcastle will be fine.

DanteLol – you’re definitely not alone – I study the notability prices and changes like a hobby – let people who bet on the horses study the form lol.
my change isn’t until Nov 21 & I keep a running short list – chopping and changing with reviews, quarterly updates, advance payments etc… lol
if I went in mastermind Motsbility car, prices & operations could be my specialist subject 🙂
January 30, 2020 at 10:04 pm #104658the exclusive trim includes leather and the comfort/nav adds heated seats an armrest and adjustable boot floor and then some techy stuff like cordless charging etc. the standard cooper s auto exclusive is £205 ap on wpms with the comfort/nav its £785.
so with the ap contribution from stratstone its £285, ive added the upgrade to leather trim to match the seats for £160 thats all.
so all up its £445 but even though ive cancelled my current lease 6 months early i will get a pro rata payment for the ap and gcb on the mini 3dr of £487, so i am not out of pocket at all.
January 30, 2020 at 10:21 pm #104659nav plus pack is:usual price £1300.
connected drive services, real time traffic info, concierge service, remote services, apple car play prep.visual boost radio, mini connected xl, enhanced bluetooth with wireless charging, mini nav.
comfort pack: £900 usually.
velour floor mats, front centre arm rest, storage pack(adjustable boot floor) seat heating front, auto aircon.
standard stuff : roof rails, leather seats.pass seat height adj, park distance control, cruise control woith brake function, extended light package, dab radio, etc
so an increase in ap of £585 for packs that normally cost £2200 as extras, isnt bad.
January 30, 2020 at 10:23 pm #104660
FootlooseUnfortunately I’m on the dla ap of £1899 but -£500 contribution and £600 Gcb that leaves £799 but like you I would add sat grey trim and possibly different alloys
January 30, 2020 at 10:25 pm #104662i quite like the standard alloys easier to clean than some lol.

jamesgYes i do. Dont no why ??
January 31, 2020 at 1:23 am #104674Time soon comes around, and I can’t believe it’s less than a year we can take delivery of a new vehicle (if we want) , it only seems yesterday I was chatting to @Trev about the dealership we used and had great customer care, personally I’m always looking and enjoy helping others with their choices, we can order early Q4 so will start looking properly Q3, but as happy with current vehichle I’m not going to rush things and may wait until the following Q1 to see if any changes come in. Original plan was to purchase after 3 years (and may still do) but also may stay with the scheme if a suitable Hybrid/Electric is available.
January 31, 2020 at 9:07 am #104694I’m picking mine up today, I will probably see something I fancy on the drive home.
January 31, 2020 at 9:11 am #104695Absolutely Bandit. ?
I’ve started a spreadsheet of all things needed and will use this to help me decide.
? I will be remembered for nothing but had great fun doing it ?

Moreton5Got my tig in may 19. Really hope a good big electric car comes on the scheme by 2022 because this car just drinks diesel like it’s going out of fashion

Im surprised at that Moreton5. VW quote 48mpg combined for the 150bhp. What are you getting in yours?
My BMW x1 18d is returning just under 48mpg over the last 500 miles at 27mph average speed. I zero’d it a while back and it was on 47mpg/2,500 miles. I’m really happy with this. Door to door, on a 120 mile round trip to hospital and on ‘A’ roads, I can get 66mpg!
MPG is a biggy for me. I even calculated a three year difference of the higher AP cost/mpg of petrol models vs lower AP/mpg of some diesels. ?

January 31, 2020 at 11:26 am #104719Like others here I lookout for particular suitable cars that fit my needs simply because the short list I have seems to get shorter every month so this gives me the motion to lookout for suitably priced 7 seaters or 5 seater with long boot space, though at this stage of my lease its all done from home via the PC.
I’m almost half the way through my current lease so Spring time next year I will be out and about at dealers with my trusted tape measure measuring the boot space of cars and no doubt getting disappointed with them just being a couple of inches too short. ?

Moreton5@BionicRusty I have the 190ps diesel SEL and its averaged 30 mpg over 7000 miles. Going from my golf which I used to get 55mpg with ease it is rather annoying.
January 31, 2020 at 11:47 am #104721@BionicRusty , ahh the good ol’ spreadsheet. Glad I’m not the only one! Do you weight the various requirements as well? Lol.
January 31, 2020 at 8:43 pm #104767Moreton5, wow, that’s not good. The BMW unit is much more economical. I appreciate driving styles differ which affects mpg hugely but still!
Bandit, Yup. The spreadsheet is the saviour for helping me decide. And I do weight them. I have a few static at the top but move others up/down until I set the list! ??

February 1, 2020 at 12:34 am #104782My 190 bhp Volvo rarely breaks the 30mpg level so I’m hoping for a decent improvement with the Tiguan I’m due to collect. I figure between the 400cc drop in engine size, the switch from AWD to front wheel drive, 400 kilo drop in weight, and more modern engine it can’t be worse!!
