Hi All,
Any rumors of the civic going on the scheme come April 1st?
Just saw a review and it seems great!I’d seriously look elsewhere for a quote unless you are super happy as webuyanycar are so underpriced, I was selling my top spec Mazda 5 2009 with just 60k on it a couple of year back and they offered like £1800 sold it privately for £4500
Well similar cars with less mileage are going on auto trader for £1600, and they’ve offered £1900 before inspection.
I reckon they’ll take £500 off for condition but I’ll be happy to see it go for anything more than scrap value tbh. 120,000 miles on a 2011 mitsubishi colt, suspension advisories on the mot. Did me well as a first car for two years.
I also just don’t want to deal private, my friend had a terrible experience when a “buyer” turned up with 4 of his friends and threatened him to lower the price.
I ended up ordering a Nissan Qashqai E-power Tekna, great car for the AP, all the options I wanted included and delivery in March.
Also, webuyanycar.com gave me a great quote on buying my car so I’m happy with the situation.Ordered a Tekna today in Manchester, loved how it drove on the test drive. I was told March.
I’m stretching a bit for the AP but I think the options will be worth it in the long run.The dealer said that the AP will be going up come March as head office “miscalculated” but not sure how much of that is sales talk!
I was honestly shocked with how many features it had.
Sounds like it’s a year+ then for the 308 sadly. Only found one dealer with one in stock
I’ve booked a test drive for this weekend but on first impressions I’m not in love!
Just got off the phone with a Renault dealer that’s got arkanas in stock.
Apparently motability orders for Renault are assigned by head office and dealers have no say, and it’s 4-6 months at minimum sadly when there’s a good chunk of them sitting on lots.
I really liked the 308 when I drove it, only issue is that features like lane keep assist and heated steering wheel are extras ontop of allure premium.
Looking at the renualt arkana engineered instead now as for 2k AP I can get all the features I want as I do loads of motorway driving.
So I went to Toomey’s Basildon today and test drove the Renault arkana, 308, and Astra
Arkana drove lovely with the hybrid set up but it’s just so big! Was super worried width wise the entire time but I imagine it’s great for long trips. And not sure if I would get used to it.
The 308 felt so low and sporty, punchy, fun to drive but mpg probably isn’t amazing.
Astra felt similar if a little more comfy with the bigger wheel, but understand wait times are year+
Peugeot and Renault dealers said I should get by June if I order this month. And if it doesn’t happen it doesn’t happen. I tried.
Probably leaning towards the 308 now but I might warm up to the arkana.
Apparently its got a much better image outside of the UK as a sporty hatch. The Honda Fit!
Yeah I think the Prius just looked way too dated in 2021, its sad the non-SUV selection is so narrow now.
I’ve always loved Civics and I think at 26 im too young to get a brand new Honda Jazz.
I was told I could get a 308 soonish which is basically an Astra but with a high AP, not sure if its worth putting it on the CC if I cant get much part exchange from my Mitsubishi Colt.
Ooh I didn’t know the prius wasnt coming to the UK! my bad, shame really!
Just got off the phone with a toomey dealer who do a wide range of brands and they said they will get back to me with a range of options in my specifications that I could get before June.
