MB are adamant that they won’t sell me the car, not even through my next MB dealer! I have a WAV on order, which is due soon. I have extended my lease which I took out in 2019. When I got the Toyota I purchased my previous Skoda, and assumed I would do the same this time around. Why you may ask? Because my cars are adapted with left foot accelerators!
They have told me I can keep an eye out at dealers local to the WAV dealer so I plan to find out where he is told to take it to. I’m fed up because I don’t want two 2litre diesel cars which is what I’ll end up with!Continuing my enquiries only via Twitter at this stage, anybody know how I contact the Board who have come up with this decision?

As your lease approaches its end, the usual procedure involves selling the car either online or through auctions to dealerships. Towards the end of your lease term, you may inquire with your managing dealer about the possibility of purchasing the vehicle through them. However, I must emphasise that this option is not guaranteed, and Motability is not directly involved in this process. You would need to speak with them directly for more information and possible support with this.

I am not letting this go….
I phoned Motability yesterday to ask for a price to buy my adapted Toyota Yaris when I finally get delivery of my first WAV. Told we are no longer able to purchase cars. Anybody given a price before November 2023 will be able to purchase their car if they still want to. I’m kicking myself because the Ford Tourneo was ordered in June ‘23! Because the delivery date was put down as May ‘24 I didn’t think they would give me a price!
Hey ho…no more buying your car at the end of your lease!
