Hi Newfi
Thanks for the reply.
I’ll give Roger a call. Are you OK for me to say that you recommended him? Do you know if the AP discount was a deal they had on during Aug only?
September 4, 2018 at 11:18 pm #59882Hi Jeremy
By all means mention me, he knows me as Dave.
The deal is there whenever. I hope you get a good deal.
He will also explain what I wrote in answer to your other thread tonight

“Your order is with the factory and currently being scheduled for production. Please be aware that some vehicles may be still waiting WLTP testing and therefore there may be a delay in your vehicle being scheduled for production.”

September 6, 2018 at 12:11 pm #60073At least we know a 1.5 tsi 150 has passed abeit a Skoda but that is a good sign.

A forgotten vehicle
why won’t they let you have the option of an active info display on the touran,
i want it?lol
September 7, 2018 at 1:44 pm #60187That is a good question Craig. As it is standard on both SEL & R Line Tiguan’s.
I would imagine that it will come with probably the next major update og the vehicle. I do not see why they did not do it on the MY2019 Touran update.

I don’t think we will see the AID on the Touran but there is a replacement in the pipeline called Variosport thats due 2021 so if you order now should be at your dealer by that date.

September 7, 2018 at 3:36 pm #60198Hi Chris
It will be interesting to see how that turns. I guess we will also be looking at Hybrid/Electric then. You’re right with the delivery time lol
You have to laugh at these pictures. Although that is the current Touran they show it is not the most updated version as it still shows the old style infotainment system.

The colour of the internal and external of those photos of the Variosport look very similar to those photos posted the other week that showed some sort of futuristic Touran with the Advance Information Display.
September 7, 2018 at 4:01 pm #60206Hi Chris
The date corresponds as such. The current version of Touran was updated in 2015. So 6 years is about right for a new face lift.
Have looked at your order online to see if it is stating the 1.5 engine?

Still haven’t got around to getting my order number yet, dealer is a bit of a pain replying to e-mails so requires a call but I’m away for a few days week after next so was getting on to it when I get back.
The dealers delivery date was to be fair to him with all the going on’s is a guestimate of end of November or early December (5 months all told) so I thought I would badger him the end of September.

There’s a guy over on a forum (SeatCupra net) I used to use back in my Seat Leon day’s, he seem to be the guy over there that knows everything about Seat’s but this following statement refers to the Seat Ateca 1.5 TSi EVO version and expected delivery times.
Quote..
“1.5 TSI EVO 150 production does indeed commence in cw36, but technical data will not be released until cw40 so vehicles built up to this point will be held at the factory. As such, earliest customer deliveries will be from cw43 (week-commencing 22nd October).”
Un-quote
…my thinking is the Touran and it’s 1.5 TSi will be along the same time lines, I hope.
September 9, 2018 at 6:42 pm #60350Hi Chris
That is cracking news , at least the 1.5 TSi EVO 150 is going through in some shape of form. If it did’nt I would certainly question why not as it is one of the newer engines VW have produced. I think it was introduced mid 2016.
Now I hope I am reading too much in to this. If you go to the configurator and run it through the Touran they have removed both 2.0 TDi (150 & 190) DSG options. I spole to my dealer ever helpful about this and he said they are not able to order this variant as it will not start production till week 51. The last update I had from my dealer (god I sound like a druggy here) was that mine was unconfirmed build week was week 45, since then I have been on Live Chat and they qouted me an unconfirmed week 51.
I do hope that is not a coincidence.

The 2.0 TDi DSG only makes an appearance on the SE model looking at the Motability search but then the search page still list the 1.4 TSi there but there isn’t any of those around for sure.
September 9, 2018 at 7:48 pm #60360Hi Chris
I would imagine it has something to with the gearbox, as on the 2018 model it had the 6 speed DSG like I have in my Sharan but the 2019 gets the 7 speed DSG whereas the 1.4 always had the 7 speed DSG.
I hope there is not a shortage of DSG’s which has happened in the past with VW
