Is anybody driving the vw tiguan allspace 2.0 150 diesel dsg 4motion in match trim yet, is it good to drive, is there enough power when fully loaded?

I have the Sharan SE NAV 2.0l 150 Diesel DSG non 4motion which is about the same weight as the allspace and that has really good pickup with a full load if that helps.

I’ll let you know when mine arrives in March. I’ve ordered that exact model which drove very well on test, but I’ll see how it goes when loaded up!

              Hi Tommy,

              Yes I have this model.

Brilliant car with plenty of poke. Brilliant, smooth drive. I occasionally slip it into sport mode when I need to pull away faster or overtake. The auto box is excellent. I haven’t had any experience of the 4wd yet, although it operates automatically so it may have kicked in without me realising?(I haven’t switched into 4wd with the selector-hoping for some snow or ice?). Getting around 39mpg in mixed driving and approx 45mpg on long motorway drives.

Sounds great tosh, I too am looking forward to using 4wd, I spend a lot of time in North Wales so looking forward to getting it on some challenging routes, what colour did you get?

Would love to see the SE-L with DSG on the scheme.

I liked most of the colours but after seeing a black one in the showroom, I went for that. Pearlescent black metallic I think it’s called. Wanted white initially but not once I’d seen one in the flesh… Red looks good also?

I went for the Indium grey with the storm grey interior. I was considering the black interior but I personally feel it’s too much with the grey paintwork. I think the chrome (?) linings look good against the Indium grey paintwork and it doesn’t show the dirt as much (I’m a bit lazy and don’t clean my car as frequent as I probably should).

The dsg gearbox is soo smooth. I think the lane keep assist is a waste of time. I also don’t use park assist as I like to be on control when reverse parking. I do find the adaptive cruise control useful, especially on long journeys. There’s a few bits of tech that you might overlook with researching the manual or YouTube etc. For eg when reverse parking and the camera comes on, you can change the camera view to fisheye or top down so you can see your bumper and tow bar (if you have one) etc.
