Has anyone ordered the old trim since Volkswagen changed their offering to the Match? I was going to order ID4 style pro, which when I contacted them motability insists is available and Volkswagen have not told them of any changes, but the dealer says they just no longer have paperwork to do a factory order of id 4 style pro.
I could order a stock model but as my window is open for ordering but lease end date is beginning of May the dealers are understandably reluctant. But also they’re again not sure how.

I do love the bmw i4 but it just screams uncomfortable ride to me , I had to give back a spectacular bmw 3 series sport model as the ride was simply too hard it was agony ( non motability this was when I could still work and had a company car)
We eliminated the i4 as it was too low, felt very claustrophobic inside (shallow windscreen, almost as if the sun visors are down) and rear seat access, but I don’t think that any reviews have suggested that the ride is poor though?
it just looks low and sporty ( and beautiful) with a hard ride designed for people who enjoy feeling the road. It does seem to be what a couple of people report on the i4 thread. But I’m sure it’s nowhere near as bad as the run flat version I had . Even non disabled people were handing them back the model got uplifted fast
£7999 AP
^^ yep and there’s THAT !!

I’m thinking id4 looks plenty on the match pro
what am I missing out on no5 going id5 ?
think it’s between id4 and waiting to see if bmw ix2 comes on
April 10, 2024 at 9:40 am #272409ID4 and ID5 is essentially the same car in Estate(SUV)/Coupe(SUV) guise.
Much like the enyaq Estate/coupe.
It’s probably down to whichever you like the look of most. I think the coupe gains 3l of boot space below the parcel shelf, somehow.
Current: 2023 MG4 Trophy (soon to get rid)
Ordered: VW ID4 Match Pro 210kw 77kWh [Blue Dusk] Expected August!April 14, 2024 at 10:38 pm #272822Hello all
i was really keen To get the the id5 style pro but dilly dallied and I see that from April it’s changed to the match. I was attracted to the panoramic roof and heated seats – am I right in saying the match will have heated seats but no panoramic roof? It’s hard to tell from VW what the differences are. They seem to make out the match is better but what are the differences if someone doesn’t mind pointing out?
many thanks
April 15, 2024 at 8:32 pm #272942For the pan roof you need to add the style plus pack, around £900 on the id4 so I guess similar on the 5.
April 23, 2024 at 8:51 pm #276273Was pondering cancelling my Style Pro, so I could order a Match Pro with the Style Plus pack.
I called today as still hadn’t heard anything about my build date, and have been given a ‘week 22’ build date for mine.
Said he hoped it would be here for July, so we’ll see how things play out over the next few weeks.

what is the cost implication and ergo what extra are you getting for your buck ?

£200 more, as it’d be £799+900, instead of the £1,499 I’m paying now.
I’d lose a few bits, but keep the panoramic roof, as well as gain the electronic tailgate.
From what I can work out, that is. Then you have to factor in the length of time I’ll be waiting if I start again, too.
Given I’ve always got someone with me when I go anywhere and need my wheelchair, I won’t have to worry about the boot, anyway 🙂
May 8, 2024 at 4:23 pm #2770483 sleeps until pick up on my grey ID 5 style pro. Very excited ( bit of trepidation as the forums seem full of people with issues but it does seem to be the older models)

May 8, 2024 at 8:17 pm #277064Hi all,
stumbled across this forum in the hope of getting an answer. My sales guy is off on leave but he advised we order the ID4 Life Pro and it’ll come as a Match Pro so we will get the extras. We ordered at the end of March before the new Match trim launched on the ordering system for Mobility. He said he had already had a couple of cars come in like that with the upgrades.
My car supposedly arrived at the dealership last week (whilst he is off) so I’m unable to check with him. However, I went snooping and could she an ID4 in the secure car park with no plates and protective strips still on it. Assuming this is my car, it’s definitely looking like the Life model and not the Match he led me to believe we would get.
The issue for me here is that I really wanted the matrix lights (I have them on my A3 and love them) and was hoping to get the new power boot including keyless entry.
I went in with the intention of ordering the Style to get these things (excluding power boot). I do feel cheated here if indeed I end up with the Life. Especially considering the Match is actually cheaper on the AP and you get more???
anyone ordered Life and got Match as he stated? What are my options here? Do I have any right to refuse accepting the life and place a new order for Match?
pick up date is this Saturday.
TIA
May 8, 2024 at 8:59 pm #277075If you ordered the life, that’s what you’ll get. They would have had to cancel the life order and place a new order for a match.
The same with anyone that ordered the Style, the factory still built them for existing orders.
May 8, 2024 at 9:38 pm #277079To be fair I haven’t seen or heard any evidence of anyone ordering life or style and getting a Match instead.
I am the polar opposite to you and ordered a Style before VW changed the spec and was keen to get the style. My VW dealer has assured me that all orders for life or style would be built as exactly that. And there was no chance of a Match coming through in lieu of what I ordered.
Again, unlike yourself I was more keen for the panoramic roof hence the style order and if a match came it wouldn’t have it.
My bet would be on you getting the life that you ordered and not a March and the only way of changing it would be to cancel the original order and reorder the Match.
I believe you are within your rights to do this (despite what the dealer may tell you) but you will probably be intl a factory order and a considerable wait again.
May 8, 2024 at 11:04 pm #277088That’s very disappointing… wonder why he would do that to me? Do they have sales targets like normal sales do?
before I get too hung up on it… is there any positives to the life over the match version?
thanks again
