Update from my dealer, mine was supposed to be build week 14/15, now moved to build week 20. It’s currently week 24 and from what I can find they’re just starting to build week 14 now. So that could be a further 6 weeks before it’s even built plus 4-6 weeks shipping time.  He also says it’s virtually impossible to get any information out of VW.

I really don’t want to cancel but I can’t keep the Yeti much longer, if I have to keep it 2-3 months it’ll need a set of tyres and they aren’t covered on the PCP lease so I don’t fancy that added expense as well. I’ll have to start looking around to see what’s available, Seat Ateca, Ford Kuga (expensive AP) or something else I can fit in to!.

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

@john The tiguan has the sunroof and the ateca has leather seats. £950 option to have the sun roof on the ateca. That’s really the only difference, plus I think the ateca is not as dated looking as the tiguan.

Oh and the xcell lux has grey bumpers and lower doors and are not colour coded, I know a few people have grumbled about this, mind the FR i believe is fully colour coded.

I rang mb the other day after spking to my dealer and told them it’s not their fault on the phone, they just follow whats set out from above.. the banks???  They’ve had 2 months to plan for this and not knowing as a customer with a brain injury and mental health issues like i do, When i can pickup and plan for collecting my next car, which been at the dealers since lockdown.. Is adding to my stress.. guess what picking it up on monday hopefully??.. no one knows and thats the real problem especally for you not knowing and being maybe without a suitable car and i’m 100% reliaint on a car as well.. ain’t we all on the scheme that drive.. MBO is not a charity it’s a buisness.. indirectly they neglecting disabled ppl that there set up to and here to help but clearly they not…

On the 1.6 110 bhp Diesel engine would I have to give it a motorway run once a week for the DPF ?

Update.

Managed to get through to VW\Skoda financial services (only a 37min wait!).

They will extend my lease at the same rate I’m currently paying, so I’ve opted for 2 months. If the Tiguan arrives sooner I can cancel without charge and even get a pro-rata refund for any unused days!. If the Tiguan doesn’t arrive I can phone up and extend it further (up to a max of 6 months). Pretty good service I must say 🙂

can only spk from my experience. Normally every other friday (although sometimes it’s longer) i go to pickup my other daughter from school 60 miles there and 60 back. I’ve had to do one regen in 3 years that was at the beginning of lockdown as her nana she lives with is high risk so we’ve not been seeing her, so no long journeys to make regular right now, in those weeks before and between seeing her last and would of made that journey.

I only did school runs and trip to local shops all 5 mins or less away and the engine never really gets warm, as i was not feeling great myself.. most times I dropped the missus then drove home then picked her up again (she don’t drive)

Thats the real issue imo the engine not getting warm… letting it run when sitting waiting as need a/c on or the heated seat, It’s not come up since, although last week i did drive to london to drop off some garden /  diy supplies to my mum. I remember when i used to live in london and often i’d take my car (petrol) for a cleanout on the m1 till it stopped smoking at high speed..

Back to petrol for me on monday 1st one in 9 years since i had a fiat stilo 1.2 dohc.

I’ve just found this on the Tiguan.

I love the rear with the twin exhausts (real???‍♂️). I hope this comes into play before I order. ??

What do we think and does anyone have an idea if

(1) we’re getting this and

(2) if so when?
I’m assuming this is part of the next remodel.

The remodelled BMW 3 Series is with us at the moment and it has a fantastic rear end (Ooohh Matron ?)

Thanks. I realise that’s right now. The exhausts are fake and the rear is available now on the TSI 230 and BiTDI 240 on the SEL and R Line Tech.

You can only get the 7 seat version in SEL or MATCH, not r line but with Sel you lose rear camera and self park
