      Hi all,

As some of you may know, i ‘won’ a place in this years London marathon. I took up running a little over a year ago, the full story of how it came about can be read on my charity page –

      https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/TrevHunt

I don’t normally raise money for charity, 1st time for as long as i can remember – but this is a tough challenge and if a few quid can be raised for Mind to help raise awareness, and help people suffering from this terrible illness, then that has to be a good thing. I suffer from mental health problems myself, as do other members of my family, unfortunately i lost my grandad and brother to it. So it is something i have a very strong connection to.

If there is anything you can give, no matter how little, it is very much appreciated, and the link will stay active until marathon day – Sunday 28th April so donations can be made at any point up to then.

I believe there will be a tracking page and/or app available nearer the time, so if you wish you can see how I progress through the marathon on the day. I don’t collect my race number till the day before, so will update this thread with the info when i have it for anyone interested.

More about the charity Mind can be found here – https://www.mind.org.uk/about-us/

      Thank you

I’ve been eating like a horse the last few days Brydo that’s for sure.

But off to hospital for my hernia repair in the morning, it’s all happening at once, but still less than 8 weeks to hols.. hopefully i would have resumed some running before then 4-6 weeks they say i have to wait.

Just wanted to share with you guys, this beautiful thing that happened yesterday. Thanks to all who sponsored me, we are making a small difference, and perhaps even saving a life or 2. I never imagined that together we would raise such a figure, so thank you x

                    Sorry Brydo, i’m ok mate.

Stopped breathing a couple of times during the op – happened on a previous op, due to my sleep apnea…. i did warn them and ask for a local with iv sedation, but they insisted on a general. So whilst i was 1st one in for the op, i was last leaving the recovery room that day.

Been groggy ever since, and very sore, on pain killers and sleeping a lot last couple of days.

All starting to wear off now though, still feel like i’ve been punched in the stomach, but got out of bed today – hopefully up for a walk tomorrow, but for today just been watching tv, and taking it easy.

I’ll be right as rain in no time, i’m sure. Thanks again.

Trev your more than welcome mate, keep your feet up and relax, your bodies been through the wringer and now it needs time to repair.

LOL yeah just a little…. looks like my little toenail on left foot, and big one on right foot i’m going to lose as well… oh joy. But as you say Brydo, gonna be a quiet, relaxing week ahead of me. Unable to drive for 2 weeks, and can’t start running again for 6…..so feet-up it is.

Cheers Winston, not so easy to wind down when still hyped from the marathon – started comfort eating which can’t be good. But weather looks lovely out there this morning, will go for another walk i think, 10 mins is all i can manage at the moment… what a come-down huh? LOL

Hope you are well my friend?
