I reckon that Fiat 500 is gonna be very very popular indeed around towns and cities but the skoda is the stand out for me. If only it would appear B4 the 9th of Feb i would change in a heartbeat.

BrydoI think your right on both counts Stuart. I think the Skoda would be a game changer on the scheme.
December 23, 2020 at 10:11 am #133081Model Y all the way, it’s about the EV ecosystem rather than just making an EV & hoping the software will work & that you can find a charger without the Leaf taxi charging to 100% whilst he sleeps, hogging it.
If the Tesla superchargers are busy they’ll tell you to move on after reaching a reasonable charge level, Tesla are way ahead of the fossilised companies.

Agree 100% but the model Y will never ever appear on this scheme.

BrydoWe extended Mrs brydos lease to five years, hoping a decent BEV would be on the scheme by now but to no avail. We pick up her xc40 petrol SUV today.
I very much hope, not wanting to wish our lives away, that in three years time we will be in a very different position. For this to be the case we will need to see a substantial drop in the price of batteries which I fully expect to happen, fingers crossed.
December 23, 2020 at 11:04 am #133087Just looking at the Enyaq now in the Skoda configurator and everything is extra. Its got more packages than a royal mail warehouse. Its a very nice car indeed but i think i would need a wallet transplant after walking out of that showroom.

December 23, 2020 at 5:27 pm #133129The Skoda will be well outside of the current Motability caps.

TonyDBlimey, got more options than Audi – and at Audi prices.
That’s the way its going.
A high price for a basic car – get it onto the Motability scheme, then whack the price up even more with VAT inclusive options; which a few years ago, would have been standard on a Motability-inclusive Premium-level car.
