MarkAny idea when “The new Tiguan” will go on motability and has anything been added to the new range, as in removal of halogen headlights.
Thanks

TheSUVGuyVW are usually quick with their new models being added onto the scheme, if we don’t see it in q4 when it’s planned to come out I’m sure we will see it half way into the quarter, it’s on my list if the GLB doesn’t come on

Clipped wingsHi Mark,
apart from cosmetics and standard LED lights, the biggest change is to the infotainment and steering wheel & heater controls, similar to the new Golf. It has not won universal praise and touch sensitive sliders for temp etc a Retrograde step IMHO. I’m glad the Allspace retains the same excellent system as my Touran. Knobs please, VW. Voice control might mitigate the distractive nature of such devices. The new steering wheel is capacitive and has the golfs touch pad buttons. Again, no thanks, VW. The MIB3 infotainment software with an eSIM is being rolled out across the range, including the Allspace. Internet radio and Tidal – yes please. Autonomous driving aids the latest tech. A hybrid and 300 BHP R added, but no doubt too expensive for the scheme. Sure will remain a fine Motability choice.

TheSUVGuyJust spoke to motability, they told me the new facelift Tiguan will be on the scheme October first

Menorca MikeThe 1.5 version will surely be a hybrid like the golf and Leon

Menorca MikeCan’t wait to see October 1st price list be lots of hybrids for sure

TheSUVGuy<p style=”text-align: left;”>Me too, very different, if I went for the Tiguan I’d go for that colour, also in regards to the hybrid that won’t be sold by VW till later, doubt it’ll come on to motability but who knows</p>

MatthewSo what model and spec do we expect to see ?
August 28, 2020 at 6:12 pm #122736
TheSUVGuyPetrol and diesels up the the r line spec, id love the hybrid version to come on, I’m just judging it based on the fact they couldn’t get the xc40 hybrid on the scheme, but who knows things could change
August 28, 2020 at 6:25 pm #122737
MatthewI’m not quite do to change yet but the new Tiguan is high on the list as is the xc40

Menorca MikeI’d be happy with a match 1.5 hybrid
August 28, 2020 at 10:56 pm #122761I had a golf match and the seat was very uncomfortable the worst thing about the car. Everthing else was good but i’d deffo not get another match edition because of the seats. Spec’s was alright no complaints there at all but deffo worth checking to see if the seats are up to it for 3 years for you mike. I could not wait to give it back.

MarkMy current Golf SV SE, the driver’s seat was very uncomfortable, but the front passenger seat was OK. Got Motability/VW to change the foam base. Bingo the seat was now OK. The foam base had a fault.

kbfernOur 2.0 diesel SEL Auto Tiguan is due for renewal next April and was wondering what to replace it with. I like the look of the new model and it will be at the top of the list for me.
I will look at a petrol next time round though and also hope there are some more exciting colours as we have a grey one now which I do like but the range of colours at the time were pretty boring. I might even look at the next model down like the T-Roc or T-Cross as whilst I do like the spaciousness of the Tiguan a slightly smaller vehicle might be ok as we don’t need as much rear space these days.
August 29, 2020 at 5:40 pm #122823Thankyou for the warning I had a spinal injury 40 years ago and suffer back problems
Likewise if i did i’d go for the sel for the seats over the r-line but thats comparing the older model not the newer one.
August 29, 2020 at 5:46 pm #122824@kbfern The T-Cross is tiny and the T-Roc I dunno how to put, but it has to many optional stuff as extra compared to the Tig i don’t think it’s as good value. but the new tig model maybe the same.
Was one i look at as i could not order another golf at all. How did you find the sel seats in your current car i’m sure mike would like to know. As alot of people have the R-line tig as it comes with more addon’s but not as nice seats imo.
