I don’t know if anyone remembers but over a month ago I posted how DS automobiles had completely screwed me over and I had ordered my car in July their staff were horrendous the whole ordeal has been horrendous I contacted the head office and after HOURS of back and forth they reluctantly offered me a measly £250 compensation to rent a car as they weren’t willing to offer a temporary vehicle even though they were completely at fault as Apparently it was due to the component shortage and DS actually KNEW about this when I ordered my car and DID NOT give me that important information. They knew there would be a long delay and let me walk away oblivious. it is now November and apparently my car is only now been built and is leaving the factory this week with a delivery date of the 20th of December with no promises of that timeframe either the whole thing has been absolutely horrendous DS or a disgusting company and the 250 wouldn’t even rent me a car for a week ! So infuriating. So now the car is built it takes another month to be delivered (without promise of that time frame) . This is all so stressful. Their management have been AWFUL. The whole thing is very upsetting. Any advice or feedback? Thank you all xxxx

Is this a motability car? Is it your first car because usually old car  lease is extended by dealership.

The thing is Jane many people are waiting for new cars because of pandemic ,shortage of staff, chips, parts,I ordered mercedes begining of June I’m  ,kept in dark no information no approx UK delivery, car manufacturers blame pandemic & act like it’s not their fault genuilly don’t know anything don’t pass on any info. Dealerships are different but it seems you DS dealership is one to avoid.

My Experiance who ever you contact NOBODY KNOWS

yes they seem to have done the usual and taken order even tho they knew it would be a long time. true they may not have thought it would be as long, but many manufacturers seem to have decided to supply retail first, before lease. this may be due to contracts with dealers tho. dealers of course will quickly blame the makers.

if its being made now then at least it shouldnt be too long, so after getting cash off them its unlikely that cancelling would currently be a good idea.

just got to stick it out alas.  i spent 18 months locked in house yet was paying for my car so know how frustrating it is.
