Found this on the VW website
Why hasn’t my order gone straight to being built?
Volkswagen UK operates what is called a managed supply system for most models, to ensure a fair distribution of available production across the retailer network. This means each retailer is allocated a set number of cars on a rolling three month basis. So when you place an order, it is advisable to check which month’s allocation your car is intended for and if allocation is not available, whether it is possible to order from another retailer or when more vehicles may become available.VW ID.3 Tour 77 kWh Pro S 204PS Manganese Grey

I believe the variant on the Touran is the 1.6 tdi that has passed.
I looked at the Outlander PHEV 3 years ago but as I did not have a drive on my house is was unable to have one. You need a drive so as to plug it in. I am not sure if you have to pay for the electrical connection you need at your home address.

The Outlander comes with a three pin plug, I kid you not, just like my 24V scooter ? and I don’t think the MY19 model is subjected to the Motability clause where you had to be able to have a charging point installed. It charges from 13A, 16A and it’s own engine if need be and that sounds great for the way I use my car most of the time but I’m a bit put off by those parking sensors or lack of them more so because of the size of the SUV.
Yes I just found the MY19 Touran price list, I assume it’s an updated price list from the one you linked a few weeks ago or did that list already have the 1.6 TDi listed as approved ? The other thing is its only the S and SE.
I had that engine in my Seat Leon and it’s not a bad engine but with the Dick’s in Westminster telling to go back to petrol that’s what I did but to be honest it was more to do with the many short journeys in Winter was the main reason for leaving the Tdi behind but I’d be more than happy to have Touran SEL 1.6 TDi DSG if they made one and could deliver next week. LoL
One thing, I now know why the AP for the Touran SEL is so cheap this quarter.?
Good call, I just seen your parking sensors post and had forgot all about that.
September 3, 2018 at 5:46 pm #59736I think I will stick with the Touran. Its got everything I want and the 1.5 tsi evo 150 engine is a good engine. My wife has the 1.5 tsi evo 130 in her golf and its a fantastic to drive.
If it gets delivered in February I just as well wait to put it on a 19 plate.

The outlander phev does have a rear camera and as you dont pay for any colour i asked if i could add rear sensors and they have added them will get confirmation about them tomorrow also added front ones as well as dealer said vat free so if they can be added then all well and good
Motability allow you one without a home charge point because it doesnt have to have one you can charge it ftom a normal 13amp plug
Getting the charge point installef seems to be a nightmare not helped by having to talk to the installations office ( who clearly never fitted them in their life) tather than an electrician they dont have any clue about installing – expect you to have the cable trunked around the house as opposed to under the floor so suggested 28m of trunked cable around 3 doors rather lift a floorboard and go 6m of course the extra cable over 15m is £50 a m installed so still arguing that did say if floor boards up they might go direct and save time anyway we will see have found out you vsn buy the chargepoints for £350 and then you can get them installed your self without all the grant rigramol so as i know an electrician might go that route cables are half the price on amazon so dont need the dealer or chargepoint supplier for that
Otherwise its all due in 5 weeks so lets hope i can get it sorted
By the way the outlander needs 16amp to charge in 2.5 hours if you go chargepoint otherwise 5 hours if you use s 13amp plug
September 3, 2018 at 6:04 pm #59740I have just noticed on the ADAC WLTP pass list that Skoda has got the Octavia 1.5 TSi EVO 150 passed.
So that is a good sign

I’m a bit puzzled by the way they are going about the test as I’m surprised that the 1.5 TSi EVO engine didn’t get priory as it’s supposed to be their newest lean clean driving machine they have but as it stands not even the all oh mighty Golf has past the test yet with the 1.5.
Good news wise reading what we got today at least we now know the Touran is not at the back of the queue.
I’m with you Newfi and I can’t see any other car that really suits me right down to the ground so more than likely stay for the duration if it does not take the proverbial
Hi Garys
I’m still pondering with the PHEV and your are right about the rear view camera, I could have sworn it only came with the 4h and 4hs but just doubled check and the Juro has the camera too. I think my heads going reading all these does and does not options in these brochures.?
I’ve got a cunning plan ? The AP for the Mitsubishi is a bit on the high side for me to be honest so my thinking is, I will have a quick look at the car when passing the local dealer but put it on the back burner until the end of the month by which time I should know what’s happening to my Touran order and if it’s more doom and gloom then and, it a big then, if the Juro AP should go down on Q4 I might just jump ship but like Newfi the Touran ticks all my boxes and really do hope they get there fingers out with these orders.
September 4, 2018 at 9:32 am #59765I have to correct my post above and apologise to her majesty as it should have read “HMS Queen Elizabeth II “, hope this does not reflect on any chances of getting a knighthood. ?

Don’t you think it might be a bit intimidating for the Germans to see our largest battleship sailing in to one of their ports. lol

On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusSeptember 4, 2018 at 9:59 pm #59859I have just seen this new message when I went to look at the status of my order.
“Your order is with the factory and currently being scheduled for production. Please be aware that some vehicles may be still waiting WLTP testing and therefore there may be a delay in your vehicle being scheduled for production. ”
Earlier today it stated “Your order is with the factory and currently being scheduled for production.” Which is what I have been seeing for at least 5 days, so maybe they are getting closer to admitting that things are not going well.
Humanity is only humanity when all are treated the same regardless of their skin tone, religious beliefs and geography!
September 4, 2018 at 10:04 pm #59861Probably an attempt to reduce the amount of calls they must be getting about delays. Phones must be off the hook!
