They are approaching 10 years old and their batteries are going to fail en masse. Just look at the older leafs now and you will see them advertised with 9 of 12 battery bars still remaining. The old leaf on Topgear the other week had a range of just 35 miles, that car will soon be sat on someone’s drive dead, and with Nissan wanting £8,000 for a replacement battery they are just going to get scrapped.
Interesting because where will that put a car that is only 2 years away from that? a car such as mine that is 4 years away is going to depreciate very quickly when you could have a brand new car for 2 years on PCP for the same price. So I am selling mine quick before the press picks up on this. ?

EVman without sounding bad, I’ve been looking forward to this time for a while. I will be looking to get an old BEV battery for the house. Although they are hopeless for a car they will have plenty of storage for a house.
At present I have gas central heating and cooking but within the next few years I plan to be all electric and an old EV battery together with a BEV with a V2G charger are on my wish list.
As an aside Tesla are aiming for a 1,000,000 miles battery.
The only person who got all his work done by Friday was Robinson Crusoe.
Anything i post over three lines long please assume it is an article lol.Currently a 9 bar for sale near Leeds at £4600 saw one last year at £4k was sold in a day. But when people realise they are only lasting ten years it will effect new prices. An ICE car typically will last 15-20yrs. Be interesting ?
