Some people are nasty

So I had my car keyed a while back whilst parked in my local Sainsbury’s in a disability bay with my badge displayed too, all I can imagine is it was an act of nasty jealousy.

So today I pulled up to visit Sainsbury’s, a lovely Mustang was parked next to me in a bay too displaying their badge, I am a big petrol head so had a lovely look round and then proceeded to go shopping, I came out and as my wife was loading the shopping I noticed somebody had keyed the Mustang from front to back between the time we pulled up and then came out, I waited and informed the driver of what had happened to his beautiful car.

As you can guess he was very upset, he noticed my key mark and I explained it happened in the same spot he was parked in a while back, we had a natter about how nasty some folk are and then we both left.

Why do people do it, it’s not like people with newish or flashy cars mean we can’t be disabled, I’m gutted for him , fortunately I’ve not had mine done again, but didn’t get mine repaired yet as I sort of was afraid the same person might do it again, rsam told me not to worry as did motability as they said they would be fine with it, I’m still tempted to get it repaired before I hand it back, for the sake of £100 lay out to then get my GCB wouldn’t be so bad , but I’m then worried the nasty ****** would see it fixed and do it again!

      Some people are just horrid

I wish I caught them in the act, I’m not very mobile as my spine is twisted well and truly at the bottom, but think I could give as good as I got! Maybe that’s wishful thinking but I’d definitely have a good try!

I’d probably be better off chucking the wife at them haha, ????

Apparently we are not allowed to hardwire a dash cam into our cars they are allowing us to use a dash cam but they must be placed in a socket and not hardwired as it could invalidate our insurance.

Did motability tell you that directly? I can’t see how it could invalidate any insurance as its a tool used specifically for insurance claims. Its literally a couple of wires connected to the battery and ran up through the steering column so their isn’t even any holes or anything made.

You don’t need to do that, you can jump power off a fuse in the cabin fusebox very easily and remove it again leaving no trace. But Motability consider it a modification so you mustn’t.

My cameras are connected to my car via USB but was lucky my grandson found away to hide all the wiring and as the USB connection is in a cubby hole with a cover over it, when closed you can’t see a thing and easy to remove again when the time comes.

I know about the hard wiring rules that Motability have but guess what was said when someone rear ended me when the car was two months old, yes you guessed it, “do you have any dash cam footage”. As it was I hadn’t had the time to fit the cameras thought they went in when the car came back from the repairers but it seems like RSA encourage the cameras but Motability discourage you.

Going back to the question of “some people are nasty” in the 13 years I’ve been disabled I can only recall one time of being abused if want of a better word and that was parking on double yellows outside some ones house and they took offence.

That said the paintwork keying thing is more to do with the eco-warriors IMO we have these days who have been brainwashed into believing your destroying the World in your car and of course its the disabled person free cars that the Daily Fail like to talk about doesn’t help things in our cases.

funny thing I walked up to my car the other day with blue badge on, some guy came running around the corner and said, I hope your disable the police were looking at your CAR really loud (wanted to lean in an tell me on drivers side and I sent him round passenger side) I then told him LOOK bud, you must be annoyed or you would not have bothered would you, the police stopped because the saw a car on double yellows saw my badge and left it but because you saw me walk up to car without a stick your here warning me are you… no your just a nosy c you next tuesday that thinks I am doing some sort of wrong doing… with that I took right shoe off (he did not notice that i walk on the side of foot obviously) and showed him what can only be described as something that looks like its been through a english wheel a few times lol…. he went to apologize and I said just f off, not all disabilities are evident to the eye… don’t be so judgemental next time.
