Skoda Enyaq’s Battery

I thought with the summer back, full charged battery will go back to 300 miles, as it was last year,  but no – it stays between 275 and 285. As you can see from the screenshot below,  I drive reasonably- 3.5 miles per 1 kW.

Would you agree there’s an issue with the battery?

If you know you can do it ie no travel plans or concerns – I would be tempted to run battery right down ie less than 10% and then if possible charge low power 3 pin – yes it will take hours – if not then just as normal – heat effects charging as does cold  – so if you are in an area where it has been very warm then maybe over night – hope this helps – good luck 👍

Good point – I forgot about it: saw Tesla’s owner doing the same last year. Thank you.

Best I’ve seen is 310 last week, that dropped to 285 after driving a few miles, it’s a complete guess-o-meter.

Someone on the FB group driving an 85 (not X) she did 370 real word driving, 280 in January average of 4.8mpkW, mines usually around 3.5 to 3.7

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

Similar to winter, if ambient temperature gets to hot efficiency starts to decrease. The sweet spot for maximum range is between 21c & 22c, after  25-26c range starts to slide downwards sharply. However, at the sweet spot of21-22c, you often get upto 130% of range, so the drop in range at hotter temperature isn’t quite, as noticible as you see in winter. Other factors also come into play such as acceleration, speed, head winds etc.

At 3300 miles, it’s unlikely the battery has degraded to a noticeable level (stranger things have happened though) and think my first call would be resetting the range computers, as a try and see.

Also, as a ballpark firgure @3,5mkwh x 77kWh battery = 269.5 miles, so you are getting a bit more than 3.5mkWh

For clarity, the car is from April 2024 and did in total 28,000.
The screenshot is for the last 3,000 miles and mainly driven on M3. But so was last year…

OK sorry for mistake. Maybe two things you’d like to try – reset 3300 miles – charge to 100% and at 30% note mileage and you can eaily calculate full range from there.

Do you mainly charge at home?

99% charged at home, yes. Ohme Pro charger.

Ours has improved massively in the warmer months. 80% is showing 319 miles, 100% would be 399 on these figures.

                        1. Have you had any updates of late? They might have tweaked the algorithms. My eC4 definitely reduced predicted range at 100% following a software update.

                        2. It knows your driving style better now and if you say you average 3.5/kWh (presumably your taking that figure from the trip info?) then as per Kezo’s calcs, it’s not overly out.
