Had the Seat just over 2 weeks now, 1.5TSI petrol manual.
Good points, drives very nicely, fairly flat in Eco mode but that’s to be expected. So far averaged about 35mpg on mainly short/medium trips (161 miles driven so far) but that should increase. Electric boot opening is handy but foot operation is a non-starter as when parked at home the back end is over a kerb so stops it working.
Not so good points, cruise control is permanently linked to adaptive cruise control, it keeps braking no matter where I set the distance option to, only other option is speed limiter which isn’t what I need. Limited read outs for consumption, only current, with the Yeti I could choose current or average. Only 1 trip counter, no display of total mileage unless you dig it out, same with overall MPG only shows at end of driving when you switch off the ignition.
Sound system is average and def. a lot quieter that my previous 2 Yeti’s and the Kuga, it’s not the setting for Aux inputs either, it’s just not loud.
No rear tray tables, could have used those last week!. No adjustable level boot floor, both of these standard on the Tiguan.
No doubt I’ll get used to it as time goes by and maybe some of it is down to not getting the Tiguan I wanted but overall it feels like a drab poor cousin using dated technology.
In fairness I may just be in a bad mood! Found out during a diabetic foot assessment last week I still have atrial fibrillation which apparently the hospital sent me home with 6-7 weeks ago!. Also ound out during an ultrasound that I have a +2cm “complex mass” on my left kidney and can’t get a CT scan for almost 2 weeks at a hospital 20 miles away which is a PITA to park at, I’m only 5mins from University Hospital Durham which is twice the size!. I also have shoulder damage and PTSD from the crash, doc reckons 1yr to get it sorted!.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
