Right guys I’m after some advice. Thinking of ending my agreement with motability. I’ve had the car since end of sept 2021. 3rd car on lease.

When I spoke to motability last month they said I’d get a pro rata refund for AP originally £3249 which would have been £2545 for oct or if I cancelled this month would be £2500.

Now I’ve spoken to them today and they’re telling me £2060. Would it really drop down this much in less than a month of ringing originally.

The last I spoke to today Reckons I was told the wrong information.

Would anyone know how they work this out ?

they must have their own way of working it out.

3249/156 = £20.83 a week assuming they do it weekly and count 52 weeks in a year.

i cant get it up to 2060.

2 weeks left in nov,4 dec,jan-dec 52, jan-aug 35  is 93 x 20.83 = 1937.19.

They work it out in full monthly payments if I remember correctly from a car I swapped early.

£3249 divide 36 = £90.25 (month)

you’ve had the car 13 months this month so

13 x £90.25 = £1173.25

£3249 – £1173.25 = 2075.75

edit: I think they changed it so you might get a pro rata good condition bonus too, but I’m really not sure about that because it wasn’t when I changed a couple of cars ago.

Did you add any optional extras to the car? You only get a pro rata refund of the base AP.
