Following on from the recent(ish) thread where PIP’s were discussed and my wife had received her forms..the result is in…
No meeting/appointment required, 6 year award on the same points we already have.
She’s very relieved and its taken a lot of stress away.
In life, it's not who you know that's important, it's how your wife found out.

Great to see some good news when it comes to PIP assessments for a change and I think this is the first time I’ve seen anyone say “no meeting/appointments required” but then I suppose those that get that don’t say anything because there happy with the results.
6 years seems a strange amount of time in being nether here or there and thought it might be the maximum 10 years in your case.
Anyway great news for Christmas and the next 5 Christmases.

OVER 100,000 MOATBILITY VEHICLES TAKEN AWAY
Over 100,000 Motability vehicles have had to be returned as a result of disabled claimants being forced to claim personal independence payment (PIP) instead of disability living allowance (DLA).The truth came to light after former Tory minister for disabled people Maria Miller claimed that DLA was “never designed for people who were able to walk, it was designed for people who didn’t have the capacity.”
In fact, DLA higher rate mobility could be claimed by, amongst others, people who could not walk more than 50 metres without pain or severe discomfort.
Disability News Service (DNS) contacted Motability, who confirmed that:
“As of 1 November 2019, some 101,000 customers have lost their eligibility to the scheme meaning they would have had to return their vehicle after a DLA-PIP reassessment.”
