PHEV drivers where do you keep your cable?

I am expecting a PHEV next year (and I thought it was too many curries lol) and almost all of my charging will be done at home, however I don’t want to carry my cable about with me.

I was thinking of installing a lockable wall box, with inlet for the cable, big enough to house the cable. This would sit next to, or over, my outdoor socket, allowing the cable to be plugged in and storing the remainder of the cable protected from the weather.

I don’t intend getting a proper charger until I get a BEV just in case I’ve confused anyone.

So do you keep it in the boot or somewhere else?

The only person who got all his work done by Friday was Robinson Crusoe.
Anything i post over three lines long please assume it is an article lol.

You’re overcomplicating things Brydo. You can get IP66 13A outdoor sockets with a lockable cover. Cheap as chips.  Leave your cable plugged in and secure it with a small padlock. The cable doesn’t need protecting from the weather.
