Peugeot 5008 SUV Interior Trims

      Hi,

After recently resolving the Peugeot 5008 exterior paint colour options, and quite pleased with the outcome thanks to help from our forum, I’m presented with yet another dilemma, namely the interior head lining trim colours.

I again visited the dealers to view a ‘5008 SUV 1.5 GT Line Premium EAT8 automatic’ which they had in stock and was really pleased with the car’s exterior appearance, and outstanding technology Peugeot have used for safety etc. However it came as a shock when I sat in the cabin. It was like entering the black hole of Calcutta. It created a claustrophobic, closed in feeling because it was  kitted throughout with virtually all dark panels, dark seats, and jet black head lining named ‘ Minstral Black’. I mentioned this to the salesman and he said this was the only interior available for the GT line & GT models although lesser specification models could have a light grey headlining etc. I accepted his statement for that moment, he stating that a brochure was not printed as yet but he’d email me an official Adobe pdf document of all 5008 SUV models specifications to verify.

I’ve now received the pdf document, and having browsed it’s content, he appears to be right.  I’m not the best at reading vehicle data specifications and such and therefore ask whether members could please view it to confirm the facts. I have posted a link below to my Box.net account ( no ads or such garbage ) and it’s about 6.4Mb size to download. I think page 15 shows the details of enquiry but as said, I’m not the best with such things.

I do hope there is a variable to the interior because it’s a fabulous car. Out of interest there is a youtube demonstration video posted by ‘carwow’ and this shows a lighter interior, although the 5008 demonstrated maybe one of the lesser models. The link to that demonstration video is shown here.

My apologies for being a pain in the bum.

      Thomas

        Hello Thomas,

I just read your previous thread, the gt line premium comes with 2 interiors. One of them is full leather that costs £1400 extra. I am guessing that’s the one you saw maybe?

But by standard, it comes with half leather which is black and half cloth which is sort of gray. To give you rough idea, have a look at this interior:

Also to add, since you are looking at GT Line Premium, it comes with panoramic sunroof, maybe you can use that to let some more light in 🙂

Great choice with 5008. I am looking at them too right now, specifically at GT Line premium but waiting till q4 to see what happens!

If i may ask you a question, how are the lead times for 5008 at your local peugeot?

        Thank you

          Hi vohom001,

Thanks for your reply, the photos on your link don’t look anything like the ones I saw today at the dealers. That 5008 SUV GT Line premium 1.5 HDi had all dark trims, seats, and black roof lining.  I’d accept the ones in your link example as they do appear grey and more appealing to the eye and lighten the interior. However, as the photos don’t change fabric colour as you move along each of the ACTIVE ; ALLURE; GT LINE ; GT tab buttons I’m assuming they might be using the none premium models as their basic photo source? Just my guess of course.

I love the car to pieces for sure, it’s the dark interior, even with the sunroof open, that’s somewhat off putting.

The dealer said about 12 weeks or even less if no factory extras are requested.

          Regards,

          Thomas

              Hi russell,

I’m pretty sure a lot of members have their finger & toes crossed at the moment. The new Motability car list is out tomorrow, 1st October, then we shall see what’s there and what is not. I hope we are not too disappointed though as Motability help so many with much needed transport. Good luck for early 2019, you never know what surprises await you. 🙂

              Regards

              Thomas
