https://www.mygov.scot/winter-heating-payment
Winter Heating Payment has replaced Cold Weather Payment in Scotland. Unlike the Cold Weather Payment, Winter Heating Payment does not depend on how cold the temperature gets.
Winter Heating Payment helps people on low income benefits who might have extra heating needs. It’s automatically paid once a year.
The payment for winter 2023 to 2024 is £55.05.
November 29, 2023 at 11:49 am #250336PENSIONERS winter payment applies to everyone in the UK. This payment is £500 if under 75 and £600 if over 75. Not to be confused with the new Scottish winter payment of £55 for those on certain benefits not including pip.

This also has nothing to do with the outside temperature.
