Ordered a Skoda Enyaq 85x in November, checked with my dealer today to see if they have a build date yet only to be told the factory still haven’t accepted the order. Dealer says this is perfectly normal but I’ve had motability cars for over 30 years and never heard of this before. Has this happened to anyone else and did they eventually accept your order?

Yes, I had the same thing with my Enyaq order, took over a month.  Basically means there are no free build slots available for the order yet.

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

sounds a bit odd that the factory haven’t accepted an order from November. Are you certain the dealership have even submitted it yet?

I don’t have any reason to believe he hasn’t put the order through, he seems to be a really nice guy, even reduced my advance payment by £400 without me asking.

Vw are the same. The order can sit for weeks before a build week is produced.

Ordered an Enyaq in September , dealer confirmed Skoda accepted the order within a day or so.

Didn’t get a build week date until a couple of months later.

I ordered a VW, but no build slot after 2 an half months, so cancelled it an got a stock Ioniq, delivered in a couple of weeks.

Dunno whats happenin at VW, they are not producing the goods.

Its in the laps of the gods. Especially with Skoda cancelling peoples orders the end of last year.

The Enyaq is too popular it seems.
