I’ve read a few times on here that if your car gets written off you only get a pro rata refund of the AP and not any options.

Why can’t Motability offer an options insurance? A one off payment at the start of a lease, in a similar way to gap insurance for a PCP deal. I’m sure it wouldn’t be difficult for RSA to come up with a figure, they are an insurance company after all.

Yep simple to do and impliment and would make perfect sense as an option but Motability stoped them offering extras a couple of years back, they used to offer various different insurances. Its something I looked into a while back, and only has pro’s for the insurance company.

I wish they offered something like this, we looked at the xc40 but we was going to add over £3000 worth extras on and we was told by motability that they aren’t responsible for the extras and wouldn’t offer any premium to cover these.

Can you not just get your own gap insurance as when you get an ordinary car gap insurance isnt connected to your car insurance.
