Just book the car in at the dealers.

It IS due its first service as its over 12 months old.

Modern cars need serviced every 12 months regardless of mileage.

It also gives them a chance to check the car over for faulty items.

It doesnt cost you anything, so why would you NOT do it.

Very much depends if your car has longlife oil to whether its 2yrs/18000 miles. Is the car itself telling you the service is due?

                  My Skoda was ever 2yrs!

My Galaxy has a two year service cycle. I tried booking it in with Ford after 12 months and was told it just needed an oil change at 12 months, service at 2 years, then again at 4 years, although it did have to go in at 3 years for an MOT. Motability confirmed this was correct.

My current car, VW Tiguan, is on the 2 year or 20,000 miles first service schedule with long life oil but if it was my personal car I’d have the oil changed every year though that said currently my car is 13 months old with 6K miles and the oil still has that golden syrup look.

Ford are two year service as are Audi unless high mileage. Although I always do a mid (12 month) oil and filter change on my privately owned Ford by choice.

My Motability Audi is on a 2 year service frequency

My Bz4x is every 12 months, as stated on my account, the Volvo was 12 months but the seat before was 24 months, they all differ.
