Finally got my ohme charger fitted by AES charge yesterday after a bit of a false start, but I’m very happy with the installation, a professional job done by a young lad who took pride in his work, which was nice to see. I had to pay a bit extra for the work because of the long run of cable and a couple of trenches that needed digging. Now I’ve got to wait for the car to arrive before I can try it ?

A bit extra?? My bill was over £700!
Yup, I am still waiting for the car – I think any warranty on the charger will have lapsed. It has never been used, so I assume it works.
Did you get any paperwork?

November 15, 2022 at 4:23 pm #200544I paid a extra £280 for the work, which I didn’t think was to bad.
I haven’t had any paperwork yet, which I was told will come by email first then a hard copy in a few weeks.
How long have you been waiting for your car?
November 16, 2022 at 12:36 pm #200621@fastbike1000 I ordered last November, so just over a year.
What car do you have on order and when will it arrive?

November 16, 2022 at 4:21 pm #200639I’ve ordered a Nissan Ariya, it was ordered at the end of June the original delivery date was end of October, which I thought at the time was a bit optimistic then it changed to end of April next year, I’ve since had a new date of December 29th, I’m definitely not going to hold my breath for that date, just have to see what happens.
what have you ordered?

Brian HindmarchI have also ordered a Nissan Ariya in July, but as yet I still have no delivery date. At least my charger will be fitted next week after a fight with my housing association.
Hopefully yours will turn up in December and mine won’t be too long after it ( current car is nearly 6 years old )

An ID3 in blue – a colour they don’t make any more so I have no idea when the car will turn up or what colour it will be!
It seems quite a few of the BEV’s are struggling to be made.

Thats good to hear you haven’t had any issues so far. Do you use schedule timer thing?
November 17, 2022 at 1:48 pm #200725I have tried it and found the one on the Hyundai app better, but currently I don’t get off peak so just charge it when I need to which isn’t ofen since I done my hips and knees again. I’m rarely getting out alas.

I did ask the lad who fitted mine, he didn’t know it was for Motability but he did say my set up was close to 2k with the charger, your guess is as good as mine how much discount Motability would get.November 17, 2022 at 5:10 pm #200759I have tried it and found the one on the Hyundai app better, but currently I don’t get off peak so just charge it when I need to which isn’t ofen since I done my hips and knees again. I know what you mean I seem to be getting out less I haven’t done 30k yet in 4.5 years. I’ll probably do the same as stay on standard rate and charge it when I need it
I’ve down loaded the Nissan connect app but until I get the car I can’t check if the timers are any good.
November 17, 2022 at 5:14 pm #200760I’m under 2.5k for nearly 11 months. If I didn’t need it for hospital it would be nearly pointless. Still without it I might just give up

No contact about the colour, so maybe I will get the blue. To tell the truth, the colour doesn’t bother me so much on this car.
My biggest concern is that VW pull out of the deal. No suggestions that they might, but it always remains an option. And I guess I pick another waiting list to join. Ah well. ??

I saw a white one the other day which I thought really suited the car but I do like white.
let’s hope you get the car you ordered soon ?
