The type 2 plug into the Ohme charger is getting a bit tight when I unplug it. I’ve got some silicone WD40 and was thinking of putting a little bit around the outer plastic edge of the plug to loosen it up. Is this okay? I’m looking 👀 at you Kezo.

Yes, fine to do that mate.
Also, if youve dropped the plug or dragged it, you can file the rough edges off
September 28, 2025 at 6:45 pm #313130Hopefully it worked for you.
Does anyone know if the wall charger on the scheme has a warranty (I would assume yes), for how long and whom to call to? I have a suspicion that mine is causing circuit issues when it is raining outside – the front cover of the charger is unglued in the corners and I think this is how the water gets in.

Ohme 3yr warranty – Let Motability know anyway, but expect them to tell you to contact Ohme.
The front cover is just screwed onto the base, if the base is slightly twisted the cover won’t sit home properly.
Put a pic up.
September 29, 2025 at 8:07 am #313149The unglue thing happened to mine. Its just a thin sheet of decorative plastic. I just put a dab of silicon along the top and taped it back with masking tape until the silicon set.
But just phone ohme and hopefully they get the electrician who fitted the unit to affect a repair. Ohme will know all about the fault, you wont be the first or the last to contact them about it

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

September 29, 2025 at 4:05 pm #314153Quite right!
It’s been a VW group problem for many car models over many years, well before EV’s were even a thing. You’d have thought they would have sorted it out well before now!.Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
