newbie stupid question

      Hi, I have recently been awarded the higher rate of pip and ordered an Audi q2 at the start of June, before I found this REALLY useful forum, and made silly mistakes, like paying a large deposit!

      I apologise in advance if I appear to be thicker than 2 short planks, I am! Anyhoo’s, I noticed today that the car I ordered is no longer available on motability (and probably wouldn’t be able to afford it now anyway as the AP’s on the choices I was looking at have skyrocketed!)

      So, my stupid newbie question is this, does this change affect my order? can I still get the car I ordered at the price the ap WAS?

        No silly questions! The price at the time you ordered is the price you will pay when you collect the car.

          Thank you, so I WILL still be able to get the car even though it’s no longer on the motability list of cars?

          ( I can’t get through to the person I’m dealing with at the dealership to ask – sorry)

            If it’s been ordered you’ll have the paperwork and be able to check it online…. but yes it’s your car at the agreed deposits ?

              Thank you SO much, I was worried there. One more question please, I’ll be moving house before my car is ready, will that make a difference to the contract does anyone know? Thanks

                I won’t prevent you getting the car ? but they’ll probably send out fresh paperwork when the address changes, just keep Motability updated on the details

                  Hello and welcome @hrg. So pleased that you found us?

                  If you are moving house before you’re car is ready, then it is very important that you notify Motability.  You can call them on Tel: 0300 456 4566

                  Call centre opening times: Monday to Friday: 8am – 8pm: Saturday: 9am – 5pm
                  As you’re contract is with Motability. They will need to know this for legal document reasons. So the sooner the better.

                    Hi Joss, I’m even more pleased that I found you guys!

                    I’ve phoned motability (thanks for the number) and they’ve confirmed all I need to do is notify them of change of address when I move and they’ll do the rest without the contract being cancelled/adjusted.

                          hrg…  as your new to this and worried have a read through the old posts and ask anything, no such thing as a silly question.

                          And keep Motability updated when you change any details, they are very helpful and will do what they can for you… and give us a report on the car once you get it ?

                            As joss said, make yourself a Motability account and once done you should be able to see there in the details of your order and that its been accepted by Motability plus you can update your home address, e-mail address and phone numbers if need be.

                                thanks everyone, you’ve really helped me, I have been having a good read and set up an a motability account 🙂 I now feel MUCH more informed on how it works, but dare say I still have LOTS to learn! Thank you to all!
