Hi
We ordered our first motability car and straight away sink into problems, so need an advice, since we got no experience with motability yet.
Thing is that in our circumstances we handling our recent car back at end of february and need a car, life is hard for us without. So in January we were driving from dealership to dealership (Hyundai, Nissan, Toyota) and asking about delivery times. And since Vantage Toyota in Wakefield told us that waiting time only 2 weeks, we were happy and ordered Bz4x straight away.
Since then our new car story start to become dark. Motability decision took a week, maybe because Im driver for my disabled son, I dont know. But anyway, we been promised car by dealer on 6 Feb. Date passed, we went into dealership for update, they moved date to Feb 19. Then we received Motability email, we check website and theres saying that we can collect car from Feb 26. Soon after we received kinda contract letter with reg plate and other vehicle data in it. We keep calling everyday to Wakefield Toyota, but got only promises call back. Finally yesterday we got call from dealership, so we asked what time on Monday we should come to collect a car, but guy said theres been delay and they expect car first week of March.
Then we login into Motability and we see that car collection date changed to March 28. Btw 28 is our date of mobility payment to bank, maybe its related? So long story short, after delivery date been moved almost 4 times from promised 2 weeks initially to 2 months, we got suspicion that dealership is liars and if it goes like this, we looking at summer delivery…
We are desperate, soon we will be without car, feeling like been tricked into something.
Its is possible to move to another dealership who can keep them word and somehow “reorder” car?
We fall in love with Toyota Bz4x, its truly family car, but now we so desperate, that thinking again about Ioniq 5 or MG4… I dont know…What are our options?
