Just when I thought today couldn’t get more exciting . . . . .
Had 1Gb fibre broadband connected this morning
Grabbed the last chicken curry from the village Deli, and a slice of tangerine gateaux for lunch
Had just settled for an afternoon nap when my daughter rang. Can I come straight away and pick her, my ex-wife and both cats up? The police have closed their street and told them to evacuate!.
Nobody seems to be able to get a straight answer, some say they were told there was a bomb found, others say they were told it was a drug raid and they found drug making equipment that may explode or that they also found an explosive device being made.
So a 20mile round trip and now have my ex-wife, daughter and 2 very confused cats in my back bedroom while Xena (my cat) and I are in the living room and she’s wondering what these strange cats are doingin her house!.
No doubt we’ll get some answers at somepoint!

Still no update on what’s going on, street still closed.
My daughter rang the police and was told a grenade had been found ….. in a community centre in Newcastle! ????? that’s about 15 miles away!.
The lady then went away, came back again and said it was an ongoing matter and they’d update their Facebook page when it was safe to return home!!

Spoke too soon, just been told it was a “shatter cannabis factory” the kind that blows up houses apparently!
