Megane E Tech Soundsystems

      Hi, Does anyone have any any experience with the Harman Kardon system in the Iconic? Anyone compared the system to the one in the Techno edition ie; standard soundsystem?

      Due to order next month and really fancy the Megane, been getting amazing reviews and the AP is really good and in my price bracket. The crazy thing is i want it in red which it doesnt come in on the Iconic which is top of the range, But i also love my dance music and listening to music loud so the Iconic is favourite and il just need to go with white or black.

        My partner had a Megane E tech Iconic. Handed it back after 4 weeks. Firstly to answer your question on the HK sound system. It was decent, not as good as previous Bose & HK systems I have had in Audi & BMW but could still hold its own well for the size of the car.

        It went back to the dealer after 24 hours for 9 days due to a well known alarm fault and the wires needing extra insulation above the headliner as the interference was setting off the sensors inside. The alarm would set off everytime you locked it and walked away. Very frustrating and embarrassing. The dealership were trying to tell her it would be weeks until they could get it in but we said we would leave the car at the garage as the alarm was disturbing neighbours and our children. Winter range was approx 140-170 miles at 100%. Charging speeds at the likes at Osprey were poor, charging curve is not very good.
        I suggest you join the Megane E Tech Owners Club on Facebook and see alot of issues for yourself. It was nice to drive and comes pretty well specced for the AP but just was extremely frustrated with Renault service and it took the shine off the car for her. Hopefully they remedy a lot of known issues.

          also remember the Iconic model comes with they silly bronze bumper trims

            What mistake did Phaedra make?

            The gold “Williams Blade” Another reason to get the cheaper Techno trim rather than Iconic, But im right into my Hardcore and Techno so soundsystem presides over everything else first.

              I paid (in good faith) £2035 for the advanced pack which includes the heated windscreen, heated rear seats, crystal grille and the Canton Sound system.

              Skoda not providing a “Unique audio experience” as advertised is a mistake on my part?, it’s Skoda not providing what was promised.

              Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

                Dam, you paid 2k and got the standard soundsystem?

                Ever since i got a Mazda 3 with a Bose soundsystem in it and it was absolutely awful im weary about these “upgraded soundsystems”

                          He ordered a car without testing it, if he had tested it first he would have know, his mistake can’t really grumble

                            You did order the car without seeing it or more importantly hearing it, you can come up with all the excuses you like, but if want something specifically and its important to you apparently then before you part with £2k+ I would be best to try/her it even if it involved driving to another dealer with that spec (sound system)

                            Unfortunately is very very silly mistake with no real cause fro complaint now.

                                Bit difficult to look at or listen to something that didn’t exist when I ordered it.

                                There weren’t even any of the previous model year Enyaq’s to be found within 200 miles of me with the Canton system fitted.

                                I had heard a Canton system previously in a friend’s son’s Octavia vRS and it was certainly better than this one.

                                Burying the subwoofer in a metal box with sound dampening polystyrene and a boot floor over it was a pretty stupid idea by any standard.

                                    That is one of the problems i have is none of the Renault garages around me have any Iconic’s in stock, A 2nd hand garage has both in but obviously they dont do Motability, Think its okay turning up there saying i just want to test out the sound systems but i aint buying from you guys lol.

                                        Just went and tested it in the 2nd hand forecourt and explained why etc…. Garage was great.

                                        Happy to report the Harman Kardon system in the E Tech is bloody fantastic! Really looking forward to ordering now!

                                            Best to note that the Megan Etec Harman Kardon system sub is switched off as default so will initially need to be switched on via info ststem

                                            Sounds great and lots of sub menues to set to individual desired levels

                                            I have had no alarm issues as mentioned above.

                                            Had mine since last Sep

                                            Everything about the car has been peach

                                            The issue was an earlier one affecting some cars that had the alarm fitted as the wiring had been cut to the incorrect length ( to long ) and was setting off a sensor

                                            Alarms not needed in the EU so were being retro fitted at UK docks

                                            Better trained to do so now I imagine
