I wondered if anyone (Kezo 🤣 ) can shed any light on why one of the LED strip lights in my garage flashes a few times now and then in my garage. Could it be a fault with the unit or is it more likely to be a loose wire?

It doesn’t happen all the time and doesn’t seem linked to how long the light has been on. It just starts randomly sometimes and then flashes for about 20 times before coming back on. It’s linked to the switch with another LED strip and that one always works perfectly.

If both strip lights are linked its unlikely a wiring problem but, witout knowing how they are wired I can’t say for sure.

Its most likely a faulty driver or the strip is on its way out.

The light started flashing a lot more yesterday when I was doing a few jobs in the garage so I dropped the unit and checked the wiring which all seemed secure, so I took the decision to change it. A quick trip to Screwfix and a 6ft batten now shines brightly in place of the previous disco flasher!

Glad you sorted it, as there’s nowt worse than flashing lights when your trying to do something!
